Why Give

Southwest High School is educating tomorrow’s leaders—the young men and women who will be leading our city, our state, our nation, and our world.

Providing today’s students with the tools they need to succeed is expensive. Due to shrinking state budgets, the effects of financial downturns, and other factors, Southwest’s annual budget is not enough.

Southwest depends on its generous parents, teachers, alumni, and community to give its students the excellent education they deserve. Your gift to the Southwest Foundation makes Southwest’s important work possible.

Community Quotes

I teach in the math department. Over the years I have been very pleased with our ability to purchase what we need as a department, thanks to the funds we receive from the Southwest Foundation.
— David McMayer, Southwest math teacher

It’s pretty simple for us. We appreciate what Southwest has done for our kids, one a recent graduate, the other a current student. Contributing is our way of showing that appreciation and helping Southwest keep doing what it does so well. Educate.
— Lauren Baker and Eric Black, Southwest parents
